QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

 

 

What do I do if my plan won't cover a drug I need?

  • Appeal through your plan

  • Review by an independent review entity

  • Hearing with an administrative law judge

  • Review by the Medicare Appeals Council

  • Review by a Federal Court

What can I do if I have a complaint about my plan?

  • If the plan doesn't take care of your complaint, call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227)

  • If you think you were charged too much for a prescription, call the company offering your plan to get the most up-to-date price.

When is the annual Coordinated Election Period (AEP)?

  • The AEP is from November 15 to December 31 of each year. 

Will there there help in the Bedford, Virginia area during the next Annual Coordinated Election Period (AEP) of November 15 through December 31?

  • YES!

    • For those who are eligible (all people with Medicare Part A and D)

    • Between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

    • By calling 540-875-8655 for an appointment.

  • Where will I go?

    • Main Street United Methodist Church's computer lab on the 2nd floor.  There is elevator access from the parking lot off of Washington Street.

  • What will be done?

    • The Parish Nurse will run your Rx profile to see if your plan is the best plan for your money and prescription drug needs.

 

The Parish Nurse is also available to assist with Medicare D questions throughout the year.
